Homeschool Graduation

It’s that time of year where we are nearing graduation! In fact, today, one year ago was my graduation. I want to share with you how I celebrated as a homeschooler. Every homeschool journey is unique and graduation is no exception. My older sister did something different than me and I’m sure my younger siblings will have different graduations. I decided I wanted something on the informal side, not a ceremony. I knew I wanted all my friends and family there including the kids I babysit and came to my preschool class. I settled on a picnic in our backyard. We had a taco bar which accommodated gluten free and vegan diets easily. We had cupcakes and brownies for dessert. Later on in the evening we also had a fire where we roasted marshmallows to make s’mores! We had yard games (cornhole, volleyball, giant jenga, etc) set up. Tug a war was a huge hit! I also made yard yahtzee as I wanted to learn how to use a saw. It was a great project, but I don’t think anyone ended up playing it. We also
